FAQ
Welcome to the HaloYard Frequently Asked Questions page. If anything is still unclear, please get in touch and we will answer it properly.
1. How long does delivery take?
It depends on the piece, and every product page states which window applies to it.
Most of the collection is prepared, inspected and packed to order rather than pulled off a shelf, which takes around 3 to 4 weeks. Preparation and inspection take 2 to 3 business days, and transit runs 12 to 18 business days, for an estimated total of 14 to 21 business days. That window is the same for the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia, and it is stated on the product page before you buy, so there is no surprise after checkout.
A small number of larger pieces are held in stock and are marked as such on their product page. Those arrive in 2 to 6 working days, and the exact window is printed above the buy button.
Some larger, premium pieces, such as statement furniture, large rugs and pendant lights, travel on a longer route and take up to 32 business days, or around six to seven weeks. Where that applies, the product page says so and shows the exact window before you buy.
If an order contains pieces from more than one group they may arrive separately, at no extra charge. See our Shipping Policy for full detail.
2. How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum spend, to the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. See our Shipping Policy.
3. Who runs HaloYard, and where is it based?
HaloYard is a United Kingdom sole trader business, owned and run by Kamil Borkowski, trading from 6a The Oval, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 5RB, United Kingdom. It is not a limited company and it is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on orders.
We select rather than manufacture. Pieces are chosen against a brief drawn from Japanese restraint, Italian material, German proportion and Scandinavian light, checked against their specification, and sent on to you. The full trading details are listed at the bottom of every page.
4. Which couriers do you use?
Every order travels with a tracked courier chosen for its size and destination. In the United Kingdom that is usually Royal Mail, DPD or Evri. In the United States it is usually USPS, UPS or FedEx. In Australia it is usually Australia Post. Larger furniture travels on a two person delivery service.
5. How is an order tracked?
Tracking details are emailed the moment an order ships, and progress can be followed here.
6. What happens if an order does not arrive?
Email info@haloyard.com with the order number and we will open an investigation with the courier. If a parcel is confirmed lost, it is replaced or refunded in full at no cost. See our Shipping Policy.
7. What is the return window?
30 days from the day an order arrives. Items must be unused and in original packaging, and there are no restocking fees. Every return is arranged by email first, so please do not send anything back before contacting us. See our Refund Policy.
8. When is a refund processed?
Once a return is received and inspected, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 working days, subject to the bank or payment provider.
9. What if an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect?
Report it within 30 days of delivery and it is returned free of charge, then replaced or refunded. Return postage for damaged, defective or incorrect items is covered by us. This is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer. See our Refund Policy.
10. Can an order be cancelled after it is placed?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Email info@haloyard.com as soon as possible with the order number.
11. Where do you deliver?
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. Prices are shown and charged in the currency of your delivery country.
12. Is there a physical store?
No. HaloYard is online only, which is what keeps the selection focused and the pricing honest.
13. Do you work with hotels, interior designers and studios?
Yes. Approved trade accounts receive 10 percent off every order at any order value, priority handling on preparation, and a named contact for specification and lead time questions. Projects above £20,000 can be approved at 20 percent, subject to approval. Apply for a trade account.
14. Is there a discount for buying more than one?
Yes, and it covers everything in the shop. It is applied automatically in the basket, so there is no code to remember and no expiry date.
- Take any two pieces and 5 percent comes off them
- Take three or more and 10 percent comes off every piece
The pieces do not have to match. On a first order over £75, the £10 welcome code comes off on top of the multi buy saving.
Trade accounts receive their trade rate instead, which is not combined with the multi buy saving.
15. What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express via Shopify Payments, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. On United Kingdom orders Klarna is available too, and lets you pay in 3 interest free instalments, subject to status. Full detail is in our Billing Terms and Conditions.
16. How do I know a piece will fit?
Every furniture listing carries a scale drawing with the real measurements, and a doorway check underneath it. The check uses the narrowest side of the piece, which is the figure that actually has to clear the frame, and shows it against three standard internal door widths for your country. If your access is tight, email us before you order.
