A low dome of woven bamboo, for light you see through
Strips of bamboo are knitted by hand into an open diagonal lattice and shaped into a shallow dome. With a bulb inside, the light comes through the gaps in the weave as much as out of the open base, so the shade glows warm all over rather than just dropping a circle of light onto the table.
At 30 cm across and 18 cm tall it is sized for a dining table for two to four, a bedroom ceiling or a hallway, and it hangs on a 100 cm cord. Choose a natural wood ceiling canopy with a pale cord, or a black canopy with a black cord.
Because the weave is made by hand, the lattice differs slightly from one shade to the next.
