Two spheres, one above the other. The upper one is turned from travertine and left unpolished; the lower one is frosted opal glass. Lit, the glass glows evenly with no visible filament and the travertine above it catches the light along its open pores, so the fitting reads as material first and lamp second.
It hangs from a thin black fabric cord on a small turned wood canopy, supplied at 180 cm and shortened to whatever drop the room needs during installation. One works beside a bed or over a bedside table. Two or three in a row suit a dining table or a kitchen island, which is the most common way this piece is used.
The light source is a G9 LED at 7 watts, included, in a choice of three colour temperatures. Warm white is the one to pick for a bedroom or over a dining table; cool white suits a work surface.

The shape and the finish will. The pattern of pores and the exact shade will not, because each shade varies slightly in size and marking between pieces. That variation is the reason for choosing travertine.
