A ribbed glass cylinder sits open at the top of a straight arm, mounted on a small stepped backplate. The fluting breaks the light into vertical bands as it leaves the shade, which is why a single fitting throws more texture onto a wall than its size suggests.
The single head is a reading light for one side of a bed. The double head sets two shades on a shared arm and covers a wider span, so it works over a console, along a hallway, or above a headboard shared by two people. It takes a standard E14 bulb, supplied, with a tricolour setting — and because the bulb is replaceable rather than sealed in, the fitting outlives it.
