A disc of stone with the light behind it
A flat round of natural yellow cave stone sits a few centimetres off the wall with the light hidden behind it. Switched on, it throws a soft warm halo around its edge, like a moon in eclipse, and the stone face itself stays calm and matt with its open pits and sandy tones.
Above a headboard, at the end of a hallway or on a bare stretch of living room wall, it works as a light and as a piece of art at once. Choose 20 cm or 25 cm across; both are 4.5 cm deep.
The stone is natural, so the pattern of pits and tone differs from one disc to the next.
