A small stone pendant that hangs where you want it
A rounded disc of travertine hangs beneath a turned wooden ball, on a fabric cord. The light is set into the underside of the stone and spills downward in a soft warm pool, so it reads as a quiet lamp rather than a ceiling fixture.
The shade is 15 cm across, small enough to hang low beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, or in a line of two or three over a kitchen island or dining table. The cord adjusts up to 180 cm, so the drop can be set to the room rather than the room being set to the drop.
The shade is real travertine, so its pits, veining and warm tone vary from piece to piece. The ball comes in a walnut tone or a natural wood finish.
